Juxtaposition is the placement of two or more ideas, characters, objects, or words side by side in a narrative or a poem to emphasize the contrast between them. Examples of juxtaposition include “black and white,” “rich and poor,” and “youth and age.”

The difference between e.g. and i.e. is that e.g. stands for “for example” and i.e. stands for “that is”. They are both used to provide further information or clarification in a sentence.

The terms Spanish, Hispanic, Chicano, Latin American, Latino, and Latinx all refer to people with Latin American heritage, but each has a different meaning. Spanish refers to those from Spain, Hispanic to those from Spanish-speaking countries, Chicano to Mexican-Americans, Latin American to those from the Americas, Latino to those from Latin America, and Latinx to those of any gender.
